Las Vegas Taxi Services
Taxi fare in Las Vegas is governed by the Nevada Taxicab Authority and as such all fares between companies are the same. Basic fare is $2.20 for the first mile, $1.50 for each additional mile plus .35 cents per minute sitting at red lights. If using a cab to get to your hotel from the airport there is an additional fee of $1.20/person.
From McCarren Airport the approximate fares are as follows:
South Strip (Luxor, Mandalay, Tropicana)--$8.50-$11.00
Center Strip (Caesars, Mirage, Harrah's)--$10.00-$13.00
Sahara/Stratosphere--$12.00-$16.00
Downtown Area--$17.00-$20.00

Limousine and town car or sedan service should be scheduled in advance. Check with your hotel's concierge for discounts and recommendations. These services offer door-to-door service throughout the Las Vegas area. Airport trips are often on a flat-fee basis, while other trips are charged by the hour. Major credit cards are typically accepted. The hourly fee for a limo is usually $29 to $45 an hour for an eight-passenger vehicle. A flat-rate fare from the airport should run $30 to $35 (plus tip).
